BENEFITS OF MASSAGE

Therapeutic Massage encompasses a variety of techniques such as Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Sports, Prenatal, Myofascial Release, Shiatsu, Trigger Point therapy and more. Research has shown that even the lightest massage is beneficial for improving circulation and lowering blood pressure. The difference between a massage that is received as a treat and therapeutic massage is mainly the intention and frequency of the massages and also the background of the therapist. The more often you receive a massage, the more benefits you'll enjoy. We recommend scheduling at least every two weeks for minor issues. And every week if you are working on a more pressing issue (such as frozen shoulder) and wish to heal faster.

A therapeutic massage sets your body up to function. Massage works directly with the tension and issues in your musculature and soft tissue to break down knots and trigger points, release contracted and fatigued areas, increase blood flow and restore range of motion. Sadly muscle and soft tissue dysfunction is widely overlooked by conventional medicine. Sometimes even physical therapy doesn't address the underlying issues in muscles before trying to strengthen them. However, adding massage into the mix can greatly improve outcomes and speed recovery. For this reason, we view massage as a complementary therapy. It often makes chiropractic, orthopedic treatment and physical therapy more effective. We are happy to work with your healthcare team to ensure the highest quality of care and the most effective treatment possible.
